Sally Hansen Insta Dri Influenster Box - Press sample

I finally had the opportunity to test out the new, reformulated Sally Hansen Insta Dri shades for a review. I am a huge fan of the old line of polishes because they were generally one-coaters and stamp quite well. The new ones... not so much. Read on for a more detailed review.

Petal Pusher

nude creme nail polish

nude creme nail polish

Formula: Nice consistency, doesn't self level
Finish: Pale nude creme
Coverage: 3 coats
Price: $4.99
Notes: I was really bummed this needed three coats. It seemed to have some issues with self leveling.

dusty pink nail polish

dusty pink nail polish

Formula: Nice consistency
Finish: Dusty pink/red creme
Coverage: 2 coats
Price: $4.99
Notes: I really expected this to be a one coat color, but I couldn't do anything less than two.

The reformulated Sally Hansen Insta Dri shades leave a lot to be desired in my opinion. The old versions were almost always one-coaters, they self leveled, and they were great for stamping. The two new shades I tried required multiple coats for full coverage despite their one coat claim. Petal Pusher wasn't self leveling at all, and isn't great for stamping. Expresso seems to stamp just fine. The polish isn't bad, but I do feel as though it's a step down from the great formula they previously had.
